On Saturday morning, October 21st the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation hosted a morning version of its popular Cocktails & Conversation event : Coffee, Confections and Conversation featured author Emily Franklin, whose latest work, The Lioness of Boston, is a deeply evocative novel of the life of Isabella Stewart Gardner. The topic — one of America’s leading art collectors and creator of the eponymous museum in Boston — dovetailed beautifully with New Rochelle’s annual ArtsFest. Guests enjoyed coffee, Mimosas and pastries, and books were available for sale and signing from J Anderson’s Books. Proceeds benefit the NRPL Foundation.
